‘The Charlotte owners of a 1960s-era rental complex on Six Forks Road near Anderson Drive stopped renewing tenant leases months ago and the last of its residents are expected to vacate by the end of February.

The buildings are coming down to make way for a modern, 4-story apartment community with 182 new apartment units, says Ryan Hanks, a partner with White Point Partners of Charlotte.

Hanks says construction of the three new apartment buildings should begin by June. Cline Design Associates of Raleigh is the architect.
